    First and second batch’s of kombucha

    The new tea made today was with the scoby that grew in the last batch. We produced two jars for immediate consumption, three for second fermentation and another gallon of tea! Each of the second fermentation hard will produce 2-3 for drinking.

    Second batch what do you think?

    The scoby forming on top is lifting and has some weird stuff that looks like stalactites forming. It’s been a week and three days first fermentation. That top scoby is dry like paper. When it moved that odd thing formed in th corner. Thoughts?

    New to kombucha and scoby father

    i grew a scoby in a second fermentation jar with chopped ginger and lemon. How would I use this for my next batch? The photos are of the starter tea and the second fermentation where the scoby formed. It was a experiment but after the scoby formed I want to use it. I’m scared of mold and death...
