    Everything I make stalls

In all the situations below I used the shake method for oxygenation. Fermentation temperatures range from 65-69F. I made the deceptions stout: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/threads/deception-cream-stout.141483/ I didn't write down the mash temperature but I followed the recipe. Hit the OG...

    Beer from old keg.

I have a Miller light keg that was filled in January and since then has been sitting outside. I tapped it and found that it still had some carbonation to it and tasted like Miller light. I can hook it back up to co2 and care it up. Any reason to not drink it? Weather ranges from freezing to 80...

Safale-us05 will the yeast fall to the bottom?

Very beginner brewer currently using the Mr. Beer kit doing my second batch. 2 weeks ago the OG was 1.032, yesterday the gravity was 1.012 and today the gravity was ~1.011- 1.01. The yeast is still floating on top of the wort. Mr. Beer instructions are to ferment for 7-14 days though it seems...

specific bourbon porter or just bourbon any porter

First let me preface this by saying that I've never made a porter but I'm obsessed with barrel aged anything especially a nice stout/porter. Looking at brewing one but was wondering if I can just add bourbon soaked oak to any porter recipe? Northernbrewing's bourbon porter is more expensive than...

    Old fridge for fermentation chamber

I'm not that knowledgeable on fridges but this gem I got for free. It appears that 100% of the cooling comes from the freezer, thoughts? It only has one temperature knob as well. I am going to convert in into a temperature controlled fermentation chamber. Would be cool to remove the freezer part...

Keggle upside down or right side up?

I am just getting into home brewing and setting up an electric brew setup. I have 3 sanke kegs for keggle conversions and have all the stuff needed to convert: bulkheads, valves, etc. I was just informed that you can just get an adapter for the 2" port turn it upside down and use it for a drain...

Help filling hole in keg or keg selection for keggle

I have sourced four kegs to start my journey into brewing. I plan on make a 3 keggle system. Searching shows that the coors kegs would be adequate for the BK or the HLT but the straight one is best for the MLT because it is better for laminar flow. Personally I like the look of the straight kegs...
