    Pre-mix Kits and Packaged hops...

    I'm starting out with the pre-mixed kits. Do these kits need to be stored in a cool dry place, or do I put just the hops and yeast in the refrigerator? Also, why are the hops packaged in static shield bags? Thanks.

    I've read in books, discussion boards, and even kit instructions different takes on racking their beer to a second carboy. Some see a benefit and transfer after a prescribed timeframe, and others just go straight to bottling. What's your experience?
