Two identical kits, young's American ipa 6.5% completely different?

I brewed two kits within a week's space, identical kits and in the same location. The result is one Ruby and one pale ipa... Confused.

    Young's IPA

I have just started a Young's IPA... It's a new experience. It's my fourth home brew and I thought I would go for a more premium kit. A bit lively... I will post my progress. :-)

Teaspoon of brewing sugar instead, half...

I bottled my brew today and it was lovely, I added a teaspoon of brewing sugar instead if half.... I used the wrong size. I now have 40 plastic bottles with twice the sugar... Will I be OK leaving it or shall return the beer to the fermentation bin and re bottle in a few days?

    Additional malt extract

I started a Muntons Connoisseurs IPA 6 days ago. The kit says 4-6 days of primary fermentation, I took a hydrometer OG which was 1040. I would like to increase the ABV and was planning to add 1kg of malt extract to the 23 liters. It's this a bad idea?

New to brewing.... Such fun :-)

Hi, I have been a member for a while, but only just finished my first brew. My first was Woodforde's Wherry and it worked out Wherry well at an ABV of 4.2% according to the hydrometer.
