They expanded to 1500 from the initial 1,000, when they had to push back the initial shipping date. So, they've already finished the 1,000, not sure how many of the extra 500 are left.

Same here. Looking at it much like a kickstarter venture. The bonuses show some serious good intentions of the company, personally. And I was going to buy an extra ball or two, anyway.

I'll have to get a picture the next time I brew, but I carved up a camping mat (you know, those blue foam ones?) to make a wrap and a lid. I lose less than 3 degrees for a 90min mash, which is awesome. An 8$ pad, and 2$ in velcro tape to keep it closed. Works like a charm!

I have to rinse once or twice, usually. Probably because I use 1 scoop in a gallon or two swish, sponge, and rinse. More diluted, and I think a thorough rinse would be enough. Can't say for sure, though.

Switched to 5lbs GP, 4lbs MO. Was able to get a hold of some northdown. Other than some efficiency problems (new burner, much higher boiloff), brewday went without a hitch. Smells great, can't wait until it's bottled, carbed, and waiting to be enjoyed. Thanks everyone for the help so far.
