    Put on a stout kit from can day before yesterday. In the barrel went the can of stout, 1kg of stout DME, a blob of treacle and about a cup or so of sugar. I have been keeping an eye on it, after day one, no bubbling from the airlock. I opened up, looks like things are happening inside, nice...

    Bottling in Plastic

    Please don't over frustrate , I'm using 1.5L bottles for beer. They are clear but I am keeping well away from sunlight. They have carbed up well and will be ready in 2 week's.

    Sanitizing

    There's alot of complicated replys here. But basically the keg and anything that touches inside must be clean. I sanitize mine with a wee dash of bleach, then make sure it's washed out with tap water. I then use bottled water to fill as tap water here can taint beer.

    my first hard cider

    I have been experimenting with this too from Keri apple juice 3L. Add in 2 cups of sugar, 2 or 3 grams of beer yeast and shove a balloon on top with a pin prick in it. Fermentation takes 7 days, sometimes more, so let it fizz out then rack to secondary. Leave for 2 week's or drink straight away...
