Glad to find some info on the sharkbite stuff here. I went to b'Lowes today to source parts for a dip tube and thanks to their lack of keeping up with inventory, I was only able to walk away with a brass sharkbite fitting to press my copper into. It turned out to look and feel fine in the end...
That is a clean machine! And man, I love a 450 hehe :rockin:
[I know it's from a while back... not much else to do but troll the forums while on baby-duty]
Flipside to all this, I feel that some people are oversensitive to those who like to geek out over beer and instantly and ignorantly lump anyone who is well-versed in details about their passion as an ******* or know-it-all.
Merely an observation from personal experiences.
Since this li'l fuel sipper is my way of getting brewing supplies, I figure it certainly qualifies as brewing equipment. And now, it is "new and improved" after receiving its Homebrew Talk tramp stamp. Booyah!
I found it while passing through England several years back and thought to myself "hey, maybe I'll give it a second try, a little closer to the source... THAT will change my mind, right?"
Still skunk drippings. Ditch the clear glass, folks. Same experience every time I've tried Innis and Gunn, too.
