Bump - Lots of offers to buy pieces but I am not parting this out. I want it all gone. At this point I just want to move this stuff out of the spare bedroom so I am willing to make someone a hell of a deal. If you have 250 dollars and come get this equipment ASAP - its yours.
I am selling all of the home brewing equipment that I own. I very much enjoyed making my own home brew but no longer have the time or interest. The equipment is just collecting dust. I would rather have someone enjoy the craft instead of watching this equipment go to waste.

I want to throw a quick update here to let anyone reading this know that I bottled this beer today. Like I mentioned before I racked and dry hopped this beer too early so fermentation did continue in the secondary. I was very surprised at the amount of trub the ended up at the...
This is the gospel. Bottle conditioning = sediment. You get use to it and I dont really mind it. It a good source of B-vitamins if you drink it and that's what you deplete when you drink so why not drink it!
Its not really a secondary "fermenter", a seconday is a way to get your beer of the trub and help it clear up. you dont move your beer until fermentation is over. The decision is basically yours as the entire process can be done in one vessel or multiple. I am sure someone will chime in with a...
Here is the pour! A shot glass you ask? well I am playing power hour this afternoon. I am about 30 minutes in.

I decided to cool some of these down to drink today. They have been conditioning since March 12th so they have had 10 days plus an addition 20 so one month of conditioning at this point. I am pretty excited to see I have in these bottles of mine.
I will update this again in a couple hours when...
I will admit that most of the bottles went pretty fast so they didn't get but a couple weeks to carbonate. I have 2 bottles which have been sitting for about 2 months now so based on what you are saying I might have some gushers in my swing-tops! :D Now I just might have to open a bottle and see...
I had a suggestion of Benedict Arnold APA which I liked. There is nothing more enjoyable then spending time being a beer geek. I first noticed that I had this issue when I was talking hops with a female bartender at a local bar that serves a predominantly craft selection.
This is my first experience with this yeast. I did not choose it but it was part of the kit that I bought from my LHBS.
I never actually thought about the fact I am making an American style Pale Ale with a British yeast and plan to use a label that will encompass the phrase "dont tread on...
