Starsan bottles - big bubble foam

Yeah.. I just took a spoon of pure bubbles off the top of my solution and tasted it. Tastes like water. Let the bottling begin!

Starsan bottles - big bubble foam

I don't mind it..just haven't seen that before and figured I'd check to make sure. I'm guessing that foam/bubbles doesn't have much taste then.... I'm tempted to taste some of it.

Starsan bottles - big bubble foam

I'm about to test drive my Bowie Bottle filler and just cleaned, sanitized, and stuck some bottles in the freezer. Back when I bottled I used either iodophor with a bottle tree (what a pita) or the dishwasher heat method. I've never used Starsan to sanitize bottles and no matter how hard I try...

Using gravity fed line cleaning system.

After feeling like I was wasting C02 I ordered a kegconnection gravity fed cleaning system. Now that I'm looking at it I'm not sure it will work as is for my ball lock system. I thought the "ball lifter" tool would be used to open up the ball lock qd fittimg and between gravity/squeezing the...

    Panic in the fermentation box.

Yeah, I just checked it and my temp strip was going towards 78... I'm sticking it in an ice water bath right now to cool/slow things down.

    A very simple keezer

I didn't have any luck getting the magnets to work for the drip tray and adding various Command strip hooks and stuff didn't help. I was about ready to glue L brackets to the freezer but instead I decided to go with legs at least for now. I'm sure people have done it but I had not seen anybody...

    Panic in the fermentation box.

Sure but for some reason I just wasn't expecting the foam bomb. I'll be better prepared next time...I got lazy with the 4 gal batches I guess.

    Panic in the fermentation box.

I just brewed my first batch using my heatstick and new mash tun in order to get full 5gal stovetop batches. Everything went well and two hours ago I kegged an IPA and pitched this batch on the yeast cake and stuck it in my fermentation box. I'm sitting here messing around and I'm becoming...

    Storing coffee in a keg

You can store cold brewed coffee for later use but kegging it is overly complicating things. He could just use growlers. If he is attempting to store some sort of drip brewed coffee in bulk and reheating it later.....yuck!

Let me know how you decide to attach the tray.

    A very simple keezer

My faucets are 9.75" apart so I ordered it. The free shipping code did not work so shipping was $8 but still $25 is much better than $90 and I just tested my system (First keg is sitting on ~13psi right now) and I found out fast I need some sort of drip tray option. Thanks!

    A very simple keezer

I might. I was getting my C02 filled yesterday and looked at the drip trays.... $90. If I don't find some way better deals I might be trying to make something like that.

    A very simple keezer

I used silicone to hold the collar on. I did not set out to keep the freezer untouched but it turns out that I did. All my holes are in the collar (except the hinges) and I could slice the silicone off easily enough and put the protective caps back over the hinges to hide the holes and it...

    A very simple keezer

I decided to go very simple with my build mainly because it was the best match for my biulding skills. :) After some debate I decided to resist the urge to go bigger because we live in an apartment right now and might be in apartments for a while. Moving as well as storing more gear is always...
