    What welder are you using?

I went with Hobart 140. The unit with 20lb bottle and cart was about 800 so its not free. That said...I can't really imagine a more perfect around the house welder. It will do anything *I* need it to do and it runs on 110.

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

I have brewed a couple 5g batches of this one. I am digging the fast turn around! It is also a great beer to experiment with my water. Its a fairly simple straight forward beer and it really lets small adjustments shine through. I adjusted the different batches quite differently and...

A sincere and Heartfelt thank you!

Just quickly, I am returning to brewing after a long hiatus. I have spent the last several months absolutely TORTURING the search feature on HBT. Literally, going from no brewing gear to speak of to a single tier AG rig inside of 4 months...there have been more than a few questions that...

    Ball Valve Leaking

Sorry wait...I replaced the silicon washer on the inside with an o-ring...I still have the ss shim washer on the outside. Sorry for any confusion.

    Ball Valve Leaking

Thats what I have done...I think the o-rings work better. As to the valve moving...mine can be twisted but still be water tight. This doesn't seem to affect their performance.

    Ball Valve Leaking

Two things... I have the same setup your talking about and I had a lot of leaks (6 valves on my rig). I found that I was over tightening them. When I just got them snug...they held water like a champ for all but one. On one of the valves I went back to an o-ring instead of the washer and...

Some guidance and or suggestions please...

That DOES look tasty! Cheap grain bill as well. That one is going on the list. Thanks for the referral! I do enjoy Duvel, though I have yet to sample it on tap...only bottles in this area. Oklahoma has some of the most backward beer laws! I have seen La Cuvee and will make that I high...

Some guidance and or suggestions please...

Guys/Gals - Since picking up brewing after a long layoff, I have really been working on expanding my exposure to different beers. I have become a fan of Belgium beers especially blonde ales. While I love the dubels/trippels they just lay me out too fast! =) Can you folks point me to...
