    SMAKN pwm module: thoughts?

Just ordered one myself and hope to wire it up before my next brew session. Looks super simple to wire as well.

Looking for a single vessel electric brewing system

Well you don't "need" all that stuff but I understand what you are saying. I went down that route as you can see by the build link in my sig. But now I brew on a single vessel eBIAB I put together myself. Recirc is nice but I think its unnecessary for temp control, especially with a couple...

    SMAKN pwm module: thoughts?

Are you thinking of using this for manual heating element control? I have a simple eBIAB system with out any control of my 5500w element and this would be ideal if it was simply plug n play to turn down the element a bit during the boil. Not sure if this would require swapping a capacitor or...

How long is BIAB taking you?

I really wish I had the nerve to try no-chill, I'm just so afraid something will go wrong. I live in the country and have an older well and I would really like not having to use all that well water to chill. What precautions do you take? Like you said, this seems like the perfect match for...

    help with kettle configuration

Bobby's newish no-weld fittings are amazing too if you ever want to do any customization. Just got the Tri-Clover one today with the drill bit and in less than 30 mins I had a leak free TC ready to go for my element. The bulkhead for the drain was just as simple. Add to it the new elements he...

    Minnesota Avantco IC3500 Countertop Induction - 240V, 3500W - $125

I was using a 20 gallon Megapot with about 15 gallons of water in it. If I had a 15 gallon kettle instead I would be keeping it.

    Minnesota Avantco IC3500 Countertop Induction - 240V, 3500W - $125

If I don't find someone local by the end of the week I'll take it to the local UPS store and get a quote. Feel free to PM me your zip code so I can check. Trent

    Minnesota Avantco IC3500 Countertop Induction - 240V, 3500W - $125

Decided to go another route with my BIAB build. Brand New, used for 1 test run fora total of about 2 hours. I have a large 20gallon pot and I think this would work best with a 10 or 15 gallon kettle. It did get water up to temp and boiling but it took too long for me and I'm going to install...

    Sparging with suspended grains

OK, seeing that definitely makes sense. Great way to get an exact pre-boil volume. You're still the chairman in my eyes! BTW, bags look great and fit in my new 20g Megapot perfectly. Can't wait to put em to use.

    Sparging with suspended grains

Say it isn't so! You're the spokesmen for keep it simple stupid and full water additions and now I read that you're sparging sometimes? My world has been thrown upside down!! :):mug::fro:

Easy & Cheap Stainless Vent Hood

Agreed! My XL 650 is in the same room I brew in and use one of these vent hoods as well!

    CHUBBY Brewing's Official Build Thread

I spent the first 8 years (9 including kendergarten) of my school career at Guardian Angels. My family has been a member of the church for a long time. Work has been busy and I've neglected my thread, thanks to those who have stepped up. Later today hopefully when I have some time I promise...
