    Plywood thickness questions

Thanks for the reply! Yep, I have an idea of what I'd like to try - something like Lilrascal's build https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/threads/my-keezer-build.176752/ I'd like to do the tower and I like the panels he used on the front.

    Plywood thickness questions

Hello, I have taken notes and copied links to keezer builds for whenever I get started on my own, but I wanted to be sure I get the best info on plywood thickness. Is 1/2" plywood thick enough for the sides? It looks like alot of people use 3/4" for the top, but I'm having trouble getting a...

Transferred some yeast into my bottling bucket, bottles are now cloudy

Haha, it was by accident. But thanks for the tips, I appreciate it!

Transferred some yeast into my bottling bucket, bottles are now cloudy

Awesome. Some were punted bottles. I'm also thinking maybe letting the bottle sit upright for a couple of days before serving?

Transferred some yeast into my bottling bucket, bottles are now cloudy

Hello, I've asked alot of beer questions but I'm not sure if I've ever asked a wine question here yet. I've done quite a few wine kits, but tonight while bottling our Pinot Grigio kit, I picked up some yeast/sediment from the bottom of the carboy when transferring to the bottling bucket. I...

Question for folks who use Nitro

Wow thanks for all the info here. I forgot my flame suit though, haha. OK well the deal now is that I kegged on the 14th and carbed it for 48 hours before putting on the Nitro (actually beer gas) at 30 psi. After several days of nothing (very small amount of bubbles and no cascading), I upped...

Question for folks who use Nitro

OK sorry, now I'm confused. What would that look like if, for example, I rack to the keg from the Primary at approx. 70F? (Assuming 70F was the highest temp the beer saw during fermentation). Just looking for how many psi to carb to in this situation before putting it on Nitro. Thanks again.

Question for folks who use Nitro

Wow that is good to know, thanks. And funny! Beersmith is a trip.

Question for folks who use Nitro

Thanks everyone for the feedback, I'm learning alot. I've seen numbers similar to this...I'm a little confused though, if I enter in 1.3 volumes at 40F on a keg carbonation calculator, it tells me that I need to carb at -.8 psi. So I'm not quite sure what to do there, or if I'm doing...

Question for folks who use Nitro

I just got a Nitro setup (actually 75/25 beer gas) and put my first stout on it, an Irish stout recipe that I've brewed several times now. I put it in the keezer and carbed it with CO2 at first, approx. 20 psi for 48 hours or so, then put the beer gas tank on it at 30 psi. It's at 36F. It seems...

Just ordered a carbonation stone. Carbonation in 20 minutes??? Any good?

Yep, I remember seeing some info on wetting pressure, thanks for the reminder!

Just ordered a carbonation stone. Carbonation in 20 minutes??? Any good?

I agree that you don't want to expose the beer to O2 any more than is necessary... assuming you have a stone connected to your gas In line (which is what I ordered, before reading this thread), if you do bump up the pressure to 10-12 psi with the stone and achieve carbonation, could you just...
