    Rust in used keg, is this ok?

    You are betting against the house. While there are several questionable 'fixes' to your issue, to be 'safe' -- scrap it. Reconditioned kegs are inexpensive and available. Spend the money.--- .And buy a container of PBW (powdered brewers wash)

    Pitching it for a starter you could do. Frankly, I'd toss it for something with a 1+year out start date. My time is worth more. I promise no one will admonish you.

    Need help translating what you 'put out'. What volume does .5 oz relate to? The most common batch size is 5 gallons, i.e. 20 quarts.

    Corney Keg lid leaking.

    Re slow leaks from your 5 gallon corny keg -- ... had the same issue - which I solved by adding a thin coating of food-grade grease. When installing the lid, hold the center part and bring it upward to seat, being very careful to keep it level- or parallel with the top portion of the c.k...
