IDK if this was mentioned before but have you tried the Thermopop? I have one and totally happy with it.

I think you explained the cider I just kegged. I only made a gallon batch and used a cup of light brown sugar. Its bitter, tart and border line wine tasting.
I did back sweeten it will AJC but that tart/bitterness is still there.
I have the same keg and have the same problem. I just have the fan sitting on the ledge in the back. Should I have it somewhere else?
Also I had to replace the thermostat because the temperature wouldn't change and just stuck at 32 degrees now with the new one I have 1 keg and 1 gallon jug cold...
I fermented 1 gallon of cider and want to back-sweeten it with apple juice concentrate before I put it in the keg. I think 1 whole can might be too much so how much is a good amount?
I also plan to cold crash it in my kegerator to keep from fermenting.
I'm about to make the Hard Cider Kit and was wonder if I threw in an extra cup of RAW sugar what would that do other than maybe bump up the ABV? Or would you advise against it?
I'm starting my first Cider tonight also. I'll be using the 1 Gallon Brooklyn BrewShop Kit to get my feet wet. But after reading a bit more tonight I wish I didn't limit myself to just the gallon jug.
I'm talking about where the gas line threads to the regulator. Here is a pic just to be certain. In this pic its not threaded all the way just taken for this example.
