    Would you normally cover the entire resister with shrink wrap tube or just the leads you will be soldering. I don't think it would effect the entire unit but figured id ask.

    Any update on how the markings are holding out after a few brews? Still legible after boiling and scrubbing/cleaning, no corrosion in the area? Just researching about passivation and pickling. Wanna make sure there are no problems before doing it myself. Thanks.

    Normonster, I would just plumb it the same way as any other FB with a 1/2in ntp 90 X 3/8 in barb and run a length on silicone to whatever height I decide to install the shutoff valve. And damn.. $250 is gonna hurt especially after getting the kettles and I estimate around another $350 to outfit...
