Agreed. If you have any 'C' hops available, use them. Otherwise, good luck. Noble hops are not typically good in an IPA, but the. Again, maybe you'll create some amazing new style and make a dynamite brew. Good luck!
He did up his prices. The supply of ball locks is rapidly being depleted, and even he is running low on them. I bought 4 from him a little over a year ago for $90. But at $40 a pop, it's a whole new ball game.
He does have pin locks going for $30 each, and I'm sure you could bundle four for a...
I had something similar happen during an extended power outage last month. My house went from 63F to 34F for about 6 days and the blow off tubes acted like a straw when the temp changed so significantly. I had a starsan solution in my growler and I was nervous as heck I had ruined this beer...
Sounds like a delightful Cascadian Dark Ale. I would highly recomend Stone's CDA, called Sublimely Self Reitous Ale. Also, MT Head, out of Graham, WA makes a killer one called Dark Mark.
I could imagine like a cherry lambic porter, but high hops (from the IPA) and roasted malts (Porter) can also be referred to as a Cascadian Dark Ale (or for the layman, a Black IPA). How does yours differentiate exactly to become a new hybrid style?
If you shared with us where you messed up, perhaps we could answer the question with more certainty. My best guess is that you'll be just fine, and likely with a brew with a touch more potency then you anticipated. But without further info as to why you fell a gallon (give or take) shy of...
Oh the horror of potential electrocution. And I hope this is a second/infrequently used bathroom. If not, you all are going to smell rank when ferm is complete.
Props for the ingenious idea however, and the (hopefully) sure fire way to get SWMBO to permit a nominal and efficient upgrade to a...
I have a pound of Nelson and I also have about a 1/2 pound of Galaxy. The Galaxy is 2010 and the Nelson is 2011, both pellets. I have been looking or Citra! Hit me up if you'd like to arrange a swap.
Scored myself 2 full gallon growlers and 1 .5gal from an estate sale today. Dude apparently loved his beer, as was evidenced by his extensive bar collection. $1 each. $3.26 total with tax.
