    Adding color to an IPA

Sinamar is a good choice, but I personally like to cold steep small quantities of Midnight Wheat for minor color adjustments.

    Fermenter Temp Controller

    Looks good!

Brewometer kickstarter thoughts - digital bluetooth hydrometer

I'm interested in this as well because I've recently switched to fermenting 1-1.5 gallon batches in mini kegs. If it works, it'd be better for temp and gravity readings without exposing it to oxygen or wasting any of those precious few drops. I'm curious what the materials are, though. I...

I like the revision of the bottom one best. But I'd love to see something like this on one of your future labels :D

That dude sounds like he tasted several of those recipes before the video.

    5500w Heat stick

It's yours if you want it, I can meet you somewhere to drop it off. It's not the most expensive part of the pieces you'll need, but it's a start. You may consider wiring in a switch for powering it on/off. You can use it to reach boil temp, and use your 1200w burner to maintain.

    5500w Heat stick

Alex, I have a Camco 5500 ulwd element still in its packaging you can have for free. I was going to use it for my 15 gallon kettle but ultimately decided to downgrade. Then you can buy the hot pod adapter and you're in business. http://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/hotrod.htm However, I don't...

    In lincoln city oregon!!!

If you're willing to drive about 45 min, de Garde in Tillamook is well worth the visit (side bonus: cheese factory!). Otherwise I think everyone else nailed it. Cheers!

Dark Belgian (Rochefort 10 clone) help needed

Oops, sorry, misunderstood the question. That's what I get for using mobile. I have trouble scaling recipes as well. I'm sure there's a better way but I've basically come to the point of recording percentages and just creating a new recipe from scratch.

Dark Belgian (Rochefort 10 clone) help needed

Check out CSI's site for some awesome clone recipes: http://www.candisyrup.com/recipes.html There's one for Rochefort 10. FWIW you're not far off and that sounds like a tasty beer regardless.

    My first original recipe-please critique

I'd ditch the 2-row. Just make it 13 lbs of Maris Otter with your biscuit and special B.

Sounds good! I don't have much in the pipeline at the moment, but will be brewing this weekend. Do you ever go to the homebrew swap at Falling Sky (Thursdays, I think)?

    Portland Homebrew clubs.

Late to the party, but I joined OBC as well a while back, even though I live in Eugene. They have a lot of great events, scheduled classes, group tours, etc. I only wish I could attend more meetings and events. As far as supplies go, FH Steinbart is good but Mainbrew in Hillsboro is my...
