I stumbled upon this thread after listening to a brewing network podcast. The topic had nothing to do with it, but a Northern Brewer commercial was about a post-apocalyptic brewer that saved humanity. I started to think about what random items could be fermented. That's how I found this thread...
I just made what would have been a SMaSH with the exception of adding 12 fl oz of mollasses to 2 gallon/4 lbs MO/EKG batch.
I think it may be the tastiest beer i've ever made!
They're light and safe, but the suck back when you pick them up, so you can draw air into them through your airlock. it takes a little getting used to. You can pick them up, but it takes some practice. I'm personally done with glass.
