    Weiss Beer flop

    What sort of CO2 level were you targetting? I bottled a hefeweizen last week and the 2 plastic PET test bottles were firm within 24 hrs. I was aiming for 3.5 CO2 so added what works out to 12g per litre of dextrose (would be around 10g if using table sugar). Your figure sounds on the light side?

    Well phew. I've just read the entire thread in one sitting. Awaiting my award eagerly... :) I'm sure there's things I've forgotten to comment on, but here's my Brewzilla 35 litre experience. I'm in New Zealand so unapologetically use metric figures, can't get my head around US/UK gallons...

    Yeah. There are a few North Island fields but far better hereabouts. Used to board a bit but now pretty much limited to school trips with the kids. Have surfed and boarded the same day a couple of times (benefits of a small country). Pretty tired afterwards... :)
