    How many gallons of EdWort's Apfelwein have been made?

    +5 = 21,754.5 My first anything, and it's pretty tasty for just using S&S store brand apple juice. I also used a little belgian candy sugar, less sugar in total, and used Lavlin EC-1118 yeast as opposed to Montrachet.

    As far as fermentation smells go, I made some apfelwein using lavlin EC-1118. I was worried about the smell, so I jury rigged an activated carbon filter over the airlock. I made mine out of a fast food soft drink cup, a bit of swiffer pad, and aquarium activated charcoal. There was never any...
