yup, well above where the liquid will be. it is literally in the top 1/4 inch of the top of the better bottle...

so I accidentally scratched my better bottle today. my bottle/carboy washer fit just inside the top of the better bottle. it got stuck. I pulled. there is now a 1/4 inch scratch at the very top of the better bottle. I was planning on doing a batch of apfelwine this evening, but now...

pizza is REALLY good, as others have said. I would highly recommend their spinach and artichoke pizza. yum. the beer is average. the piranha is decent. that is the only one I have had enough times to comment.

this. going out with SWMBO here very shortly to a kitschy Italian place. unfortunately the best beer they have is killians... the food is great though. ah well. I'll have a homebrew when I get home.

for what its worth, I toured the Wild Turkey distillery recently and they said they sold the used bourbon barrels for ~$20. I had just had a few samples of their 'high wine', the non oak aged liquor straight out of the still, so I neglected to ask how to acquire one of the barrels.

this is what I was wondering. snapping turtles are some badass animals. I remember seeing them as big as man holes while vacationing in Wisconsin as a kid.

in columbus, oh here. crazy amounts of snow. I don't think I've ever seen this much snow in one day... it cleared up right as the sun was setting and was beautiful.

damn. just had the hopslam for the first time this year. great great stuff.
