    When to Add Wildflower Honey

I'm brewing a honey red wheat beer tomorrow and had a question about when to add the 1.5 lbs of wildflower honey. Should I add it after I mash and pull the bag (BIAB) out, right before I start my boil? I emailed the company and they haven't responded back. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Measuring Coffee Beans to Add to Porter

I have a recipe that calls for 5 ounces of coffee beans and was wondering if the measurement was fluid ounces or regular ounces (I have a digital scale). Also, how much water should I use to extract the most coffee flavor out of the beans? First time making a coffee porter and I'm going to add...

Help With Saison Recipe From Jasper's

I recently purchased an all grain saison kit (link is posted below) from Jasper's. The directions call to add 1/2 lb. of light candi sugar to the kettle, but doesn't tell you when to add it. Does anyone know when I should add the candi sugar to the boil? At the beginning of the boil (60 mins)...

Should I add cacao nibs and coffee to this oatmeal stout recipe?

Thanks for all the replies! I'm going to try the cold coffee at bottling idea. How many ounces of coffee beans should I use and how much water? I have a coffee grinder and want to make sure I use enough coffee beans. It's going to be a 5 gallon batch.

Should I add cacao nibs and coffee to this oatmeal stout recipe?

I was wondering if you guys thought it would be a good/bad idea to add 4oz of coffee (at flameout) and 4 oz cacao nibs (add a week before bottling to primary after fermentation is finished) to the below oatmeal stout recipe from Jasper's. I'm kind of new to all grain brewing and didn't know if...

What does a higher O.G mean?

Unfortunately, my kettle is only 30 quarts (7.5 gallons) and usually the best I can do is 5 gallons. I have to use fermcap-s because it's so close to the top. Think I might need to upgrade my kettle soon. Sent from my iPad using Home Brew

What does a higher O.G mean?

I just finished brewing Northern Brewer's Chocolate Milk Stout (all grain) and finished with an O.G of 1.060. The directions have an O.G of 1.049. I was wondering what this means in regards to efficiency and my finished beer. This is my 3rd all grain experience and still new to the numbers of...
