    Pomegranate Wheat

this is the extract i'm considering, only because the site says it can be used for making beer. https://www.silvercloudestates.com/product/Pomegranate-Natural-Flavor-Blend-514.aspx

    Pomegranate Wheat

I'm brewing my third annual Pomegranate Wheat and want to try a new approach. I'm gonna start with Northern Brewer's Witbier recipe, skipping the orange peel and coriander seed. I want to add a pomegranate extract at the end of the boil, and 32oz of POM juice in secondary. I'm just having a...

    Partial Mash Pumpkin Ale HELP!

it was one of the most fun and involving brew days i've had. i just ordered the mild brown ale partial mash kit from midwest supplies. after 1.5 years extract brewing, it's time to start baby-stepping into all grain. i'm excited.

    Partial Mash Pumpkin Ale HELP!

I called it "partial mash" because we were mashing the steeping grains and 2lbs of 6-row then adding it to the extract kit. it may not fall under the true category as a "partial mash", but considering we were mashing part of the fermentable sugars then adding extract, i thought the term was...

    Partial Mash Pumpkin Ale HELP!

also- would it make more sense to do the partial mash in a smaller pot and transfer the wort to the main kettle or just do it all in the main kettle?

    Partial Mash Pumpkin Ale HELP!

my buddy and I are brewing Northern Brewer's Smashing Pumpkin ale. We got 2lbs of 6-row and a large bag to do the partial mash in. Our problem is the pumpkin. They are out of season. We do not have access to canned pumpkin without preservatives. Can we still use it if we use a yeast nutrient?

    My Pale Ale

I just got the ingredients. I decided to just get enough to brew one batch just incase I want to make any adjustments when I do my bulk order. I also decided to get the Wyeast American Ale 1056 since I can just wash and reuse that for my next batches. I'm brewing on 5/5/13. I'll post again...

    Your favorite extract kits

Northern Brewer has been very solid for me. Their Caribou Slobber was the first beer that got rave reviews from all the men and women who drank it, and actually had me surprised I made it.

    Favorite American IPA Extract Kits?

my cousin brewed NB's Dead Ringer IPA and it was amazing. Very similar to Bell's Two-hearted Ale. Probably the best IPA homebrewed that I've had so far.

    Favorite American Lager

Adjunct Lager may have been a better use of the term. I mainly meant full-flavored American style lagers- nothing light. The grain belt I grew up on has been from New Ulm, but my age is against me on that one. I will go for a Miller Genuine Draft (or as we call it, the jenny) if grain belt is...

    Favorite American Lager

I find that with home brewing, and with beer drinking in general, those of us in-the-know scoff at this style quite often. It's always going to be a stand-by for me, and I think it'll be neat to see what we all think about the classic American Lager. For me, it's Grain Belt Premium. I grew...

    suggestions on what to brew?

Black IPA would be a nice medium inbetween malty and hoppy. You'll get all the malt that you like in the beers you've been brewing, but a nice introduction into the realm of hoppier beers.
