I'd like to invite homebrewing book authors to Kit Lab - Who to reach out to??

Hey dudes! I'd like to reach out to some great home brewing authors and invite them to be authors at www.kitlab.co, but I'm wondering if you guys have any thoughts on who I should be talking to? So far the fabulous Brulosopher has suggested the list below - anyone here have any additions...

    Sell Your Own Beer Kits

Hi guys! My name is Ryan and I'm a California-based homebrewer. My team and I have been working on a new homebrewing Kickstarter that we think you might be interested in checking out: www.kitlab.co Basically, it's a platform like Etsy or Ebay where brewers can upload recipes and sell...

How old is too old for an extract kit...

One thing to consider replacing before you go with it would be the yeast. Six months of sitting around at room (or warmer) temps is certainly not ideal, and it would be a shame to have the fermentation go super slowly or nowhere at all because of a $2 pack of yeast. Just a thought - happy brewing!

    Just bottled my first beer!

That's great! Sounds like you're really off to a good start - tasting often, responding to your assessments. I think you're going one heck of a brewer. Cheers!

    Is my co2 tank empty?

That certainly does sound like a leak. Don't you have something you can throw on there with a gauge? Or even better, when you open it up, does gas coming shooting out?? Haha

    Apfelwein Woes

Agree with porterpounder, but at this point if you're trying to salvage this brew, might as well put in the extra effort and pasturize it before sweetening. No point in getting your hopes up again if it's not garunteed to go your way. Pasturize that puppy! www.betterbeerkits.com

    hefe fermenting question

Assuming you have one. OP, don't just wait ten days and bottle, though :) either err on the side of putting a few more days in or get a hydro. Your choice!

    5 gallon rye beer

Here's a cool site on Gruit and other traditional un-hopped beers. To be honest, making a beer that doesn't have any hops and tastes like whiskey might just be called "making whiskey" :) hahaha http://www.gruitale.com/intro_en.htm
