So I'm at day 7 in fermentor and my FG has been 1.010 for 24 hrs at 69F. I don't see why I'd keep it in the fermentor for another week. But I don't want to rush it so what is your opinion on.
1. Dropping yeast cone and leaving in primary for another week. I'm worried about sitting on yeast that...
What are you guys thoughts on using all Golden Promise as a base malt? I usually do half 2 row and half GP with flaked oats and white wheat malt. I dont see it used very often as the only base but it seems it would give the NEIPA a bit more flavor
excellent advice makes alot of sense. I will make this part of my routine for sure.
Since I have your ear I am brewing another NEIPA soon and have 2 questions for you

Ok. I brewed this without any issue. Used 1318 and kegged May 8. Closed transfer. No oxygen ingress. I use a Clear Draught System to draw from top. This beer is delicious. No hop burn at all.
HOWEVER...it is a funky pea soup looking color. One if my loyal drinkers said it looked like pus but...
