Cant find this KegLand part anywhere?!?!?!

For those still interested in this thread, Kegland has come up with a product for this purpose. Hop bong: https://www.kegland.com.au/2-inch-tri-clover-hop-bong-sight-glass-with-black-bottle-cap.html?fbclid=IwAR36zI3DOXX0wGKzXVU9O-ar-jLz1v9ThR1iY0NZms5lC1E6XkWuhVh6O7I New lid assembly with...

    First batch... oops

As many here have said, don't sweat it too much. Wait a few more weeks and taste it again. Time can do wonders to beer. Specially a stout. One thing that can also contribute to an unpleasant finish in a beer is carrying too much sediments and trub to your bottles. Don't be too greedy when doing...

Cant find this KegLand part anywhere?!?!?!

after getting mine on, I was thinking about the potential problems that started thinking about a solution like yours but the grinding of the bottom really put me off. I am hoping mine works so I don't have to think about it anymore. Maybe they will create a different lid for that soon. who knows.

Hop aroma retention (or lack thereof) with pressure fermentation and transfer.

From the spunding valve it goes to a starsan filled bottle (the blue and orange thing in front of the fermenter). If they are equal pressure, wouldn't the transfer stop? Unless there's some gravity siphoning going on that I can't see. I think one good question to ask is: How long should I...

Cant find this KegLand part anywhere?!?!?!

Just did a dry run in the setup. It's quite clunky and tall, but seems to hold pressure well (the liquid I am spraying is starsan) as no bubbles was seen. In this way I would theoretically be able to do a pressure fermentation, closed dry hopping and transfer. That is if the hops don't get...

Hop aroma retention (or lack thereof) with pressure fermentation and transfer.

Pardon the mess in the pic. haha Today I was racking another beer and this is what my racking setup look like. The fermenter was at about 20psi (I forced carbonated after the fermentation as the thermo well fell off in the fermenter right after I closed the lid). The keg was at about 13 to...

Hop aroma retention (or lack thereof) with pressure fermentation and transfer.

Mind blowing! Thanks for sharing that. Based on the discussion in that thread, I am definitely not purging it enough.

Hop aroma retention (or lack thereof) with pressure fermentation and transfer.

I guess I didn't tried a full closed because I assumed I'd have to keep bumping the pressure in the fermenter up because after a little while the pressure in the two vessels equalize and the transfer stops and I'd end up with 30 psi in the keg and having to purge it anyway. I'll admit that may...

Cant find this KegLand part anywhere?!?!?!

Ok, I decided to spend some time fiddling around and doing a blow test. the stainless steel setup from my previous post is garbage (It could be the batch I got, but I am skeptical). I put as much force as I could as when blowing, air was leaking from every seal. Then I tested with the plastic...

Cant find this KegLand part anywhere?!?!?!

As I finished my last post I realized that there might be another option if that one doesn't work. If I disassemble the valve (take off the handle) I'll probably be able to screw the valve all the way and use the top portion as is. I would still prefer to have that 2 step setup so that I could...

Cant find this KegLand part anywhere?!?!?!

The setup I am planning on using is similar to the one mentioned above. I still need to drill a hole for the thermo-well and do a pressure test, but so far it's not inspiring much confidence for a couple of reasons. 1- Due to the anatomy of the lid, the "T" piece hits the pressure relieve and...

Hop aroma retention (or lack thereof) with pressure fermentation and transfer.

Hello everyone, Not too long ago I started playing around with pressure fermentation and pressure transfers to an oxygen-less process (as much as possible for me, at least) and the beers are great. I ferment in the all rounder, and when the fermentation is done, I remove the spunding valve...

Cant find this KegLand part anywhere?!?!?!

Yeah, that date is changing all the time. And they don't ship internationally, so for me, I gotta hope my local store gets it or buy from their Chinese counterpart. And the suppliers I have available usually don't stock on these small things. When they do, it goes really quick. In addition...

Cant find this KegLand part anywhere?!?!?!

I know this kind of an older post, but for anyone who's interested, I've been buying some kegland parts from their Chinese store on aliexpress with great success. There are stuff that I can't find in Canada that I get from there. https://kegland.aliexpress.com/store/5784799 They have both (at...

Crushed Grain Spill on Kitchen Floor

you probably put worse things in your mouth haha. C'mon man. Just brew it and enjoy the end result (hopefully). haha Most mistakes that happens in the hot phase are not too big of a deal. You may get a different flavor that you will never be able to replicate, but as far as the health of this...
