    Leaving CO2 tank on

If you have no air leaks you should be okay.

    Leaving CO2 tank on

All of these are great suggestions; my keg is currently full of beer. Should I transfer back into the secondary, perform all of the checks listed above, and then keg? Most of these tests, aside form the regulator test, will not tell me much as the flat beer will absorb the CO2 fairly readily. Or...

    Leaving CO2 tank on

Believe it or not, I did submerge the tank and regulator. I kept the dials out of the water because I didn't know if they were safe to submerge. I checked before I hooked up my regulator, and I do have a good wide o-ring (or is it a gasket if it's wide?) between my regulator and tank. What...

    Leaving CO2 tank on

Wouldn't a leak show in the submersion test? I was pumping 30 psi in when everything was underwater and all was calm. I exchanged cylinders when I refilled. Maybe I didn't have a good seal between the tank and regulator? What would you do in my shoes? Thanks for the help.

    Leaving CO2 tank on

Just got into kegging; burned through one tank already in four days (must have had a leak somewhere...) After getting ripped on at the welding shop, I checked for leaks using soapy water, and then went so far as to submerge all my parts, keg included, to see if there were any bubbles. We have...

    Apfelwein Yeast Problem?

Almost a sixer in and I'm not dead. Thanks for all the help, guys. I will just filter the ones that have floating clumps in them and go to town on the ones that don't. Prost!

    Apfelwein Yeast Problem?

I opened 6 and poured into a growler. Not all of the bottles have this issue so I am thinking that it was just the beginning of the batch? Anyways, it tastes fine (strong due to additional sugar added). What would it taste like if it was infected?

    Apfelwein Yeast Problem?

Fermented for almost 3 months. All in primary.

    Apfelwein Yeast Problem?

I bottled my first batch of apfelwein two weeks ago; at first there appeared to be yeast glaciers hovering around the top. Most of them have sunk to the bottom, but I am still hesitant to rule out an infection. I have been brewing 5+ years with no infections, but I am hesitant to crack open...

    Homebrew Chiller Debacle

You ever drink while brewing? Ever throw friends into that mix? Ever watch Lefty come back and put things into sudden death with a birdie on the 18th? That's how.

    Homebrew Chiller Debacle

ktblunden: Mine is homemade; make sure you tighten the screws before use; I will never forget to check and make sure it is tight again. cost be about 3% off my target ABV. Meh...beer is beer and it will be drunk.

    Homebrew Chiller Debacle

    Homebrew Chiller Debacle

While brewing a strong ale which was pegged to be at 9-10% abv, my immersion chiller had a leak and pumped 1.5 gal. back into the wort. I am boiling down a small batch of wort to try to salvage the brew. Any suggestions?

    Good buy for bottling?

Just moved from TX to TN and the wife for some odd reason didn't want me to bring my 300 + empties in the same truck with all our stuff; I need to stock up now to get back to brewing. I found this site...

    Fruit Beer Razzy Wheat

So do the raspberries add anything to the overall ABV of the beer? I brewed this last month or so and just started drinking them. Fantastic!
