The way to insulate the floor would be to tack a breathable membrane on the bottom of your crossmembers and the lay the insulation down before you put the floor down. Or so I've been told by a contractor that I just recently had a discussion with about this very idea. Quilyn

I wonder if you couldn't just do a small beer from a 3rd and 4th runnings off of an AG batch sparge. It should end up being a very low ABV beer... Quilyn

I think that if #7 water bottles are banned, it would be a good thing. All those 5 gallon water bottles would need to be made out of something else, probably PET. Evidently a couple of companies are already using PET for their bulk water bottles. Cheap Better Bottles!!! Quilyn

I just finished this as my 2nd AG batch. My boil-off didn't drop the volume to 5.5, I ended up with 6 gallons in my fermenter at OG 1.045. I can't do the math, but if it would have boiled down to 5.5 or 5, would I have been closer to 1.051? Quilyn
