Irish Red Ale Raging Red Irish Red Ale

Brewed this up earlier this year and have had almost every bottle explode on me. Process: * Brewed it up and waited three weeks to test gravity the hopefully FG. * Waited another week and tested again, gravity stayed the same. * Added priming sugar solution to bottling bucket, and racked. *...

    Joe's Ancient Orange Mead

Haha, I'll openly admit to being a newbie. I've brewed a few batches of beer and dabbled with ciders but never meads. Been unfortunate to have a few bottle bombs so I always like nailing every detail down before trying something new. Thanks for the heads up!

    Joe's Ancient Orange Mead

Firstly apologies for asking this, as I'm pretty damned sure it's been asked before... Just don't have the time to skim the 250+ pages on this thread. What's the process for bottling this up? I assume that since the yeast crap out pretty quickly that it's a matter of waiting for it to clear...

American Pale Ale Three Floyds Zombie Dust Clone

Sweet! Good to know. I figured the difference would be pretty negligible. Can't wait to make this, would love to make the AG version (for control / lower cost) but I can't do full 5 gal boils at this point. BUT SOON..

American Pale Ale Three Floyds Zombie Dust Clone

Looking to make an extract version of this but can only get Briess Pilsen Light. Would there be any noticeable difference between that and the extra light? I'm guessing the colour would be a bit darker, and maybe a bit roastier.. not sure so I thought I'd ask.

Irish Red Ale Raging Red Irish Red Ale

Brewing this up tomorrow; I can't resist anymore! Got my grains crushed, all the equipment's out and ready to roll... Brew day starts at 8am. Will be taking photos along the way.

    Irish Stout Ó Flannagáin Standard

Hey all, this is definitely on my "to-brew" list but I'll have to bottle it since I don't have a kegging setup. How much priming sugar would you use for a batch of this? 3oz or so? I assume you'd want a lighter carbonation. Thanks!

How many gallons of homebrew in 2015?

    24,393.5 + 5 Bee Cave Haus Pale Ale + 5 Toronto Brewing Double Double Chocolate & Donut Stout + 5 Graff + 5 Cooper's Canadian Blonde + 5 Centennial Blonde + 1 Unicorn Blood + 1 Urban Albert Garden Cider + 1 Big Secue's Dry-Hopped Cider = 24,421.5

    Unicorn Blood

Starting a 1 gal batch of this tonight. Been watching this thread for too long not too. Actually just joined HBT specifically because of this stuff! Once my batch is underway I might end up being another voice in the backsweetening / carbing choir... Still a newbie on this stuff!
