5/16" vs. 7/16" outer diameter keg lines

Thank you, guess I'll use the Bevflex, even though I wish I could save space with the smaller OD stuff. I don't want plasticized beer!

5/16" vs. 7/16" outer diameter keg lines

Interesting, is it made of a different material then, or is it just thicker?

5/16" vs. 7/16" outer diameter keg lines

My LHBS sells 3/16" ID, 5/16" OD, beer lines. I ordered some more from morebeer and it came as 7/16" OD. I've found alot of discussion around ID around here, but not much about OD. My preference is for the 5/16" as its so much smaller snd easier to work with, but I don't want to mess up anything...

Can I test my regulator under water?

I bought two taprite regulator sets with 3 regulators each for a 6 regulator setup. I've combined the two sets, but I have a VERY slow leak, with the regulator valves all shut and the regulator valve from my tank shut off I'm losing less than 1 psi in the regulators per hour. Over 12 hours today...

    Baby Barleywine

Thanks guys, I'm planning on brewing this weekend, hopefully the cold holds off here in Ohio a little bit.... Any thoughts on naturally conditioning a barleywine in a keg? I've never tried this technique, but I've had bad luck with bottling in the past, and this one is important so I want to...

    Baby Barleywine

So since I started homebrewing 5 years I've always wanted to do a Barleywine, but I decided that I was going to do it only when I knew my wife was pregnant, and I would let it age for the duration of the pregnancy, and drink it as a celebration beer. Fast forward to yesterday when we received...

    You may cringe

I know there are methods for hooking the outlet of one keg to the outlet of an empty keg under pressure, and then slowly releasing the pressure in the empty keg to transfer beer slowly from one to the other. I've heard of people doing that with a filter in between two cornies to filter their...

What's the deal with fat tire? It sucks.

I enjoy Fat Tire so I guess I'm in the minority here, but the one that pissed me off was people getting absurdly excited for the introduction of Yuengling here in Ohio. I'll have a Fat Tire or even a BMC long before drinking a Yuengling and most people I know agree, but for some reason people...

Word of warning : Don't Leave Full CO2 Tanks in Hot Car!

It's not a CO2 tank, but my coworker and I almost died transporting some human tissue grafts on dry ice (frozen CO2). We were taking the grafts to a surgery about an hour away, and the doctor didn't use the grafts, so we left the grafts in her little Honda Fit while we went to lunch after the...

First time using a pump and therminator

I sterilize my chiller and pump by recirculating boiling wort rather then sanitizer starting about 15 minutes prior to flame out. I start off with no cold water flowing through the chiller, and with the pump outlet set real low so it's just a trickle. As the chiller warms up to the higher temp...

First time using a pump and therminator

Follow up to tallys comment, how do you measure volume? If using a sight glass are you sure it's taking into account anything in the BK? Is it calibrated correctly?

First time using a pump and therminator

I fill my mash tun with clean water and move my hose over to it after the BK is empty, then push that water through the system until the wort going into the fermenter runs clear, that way I get every drop of wort out of the system.

    The Walking dead

Remember walkers are literally decomposing bodies with just an animated brain. Any skull would be brittle after months of exposure to the elements.

    Oak Barrels

I found this thread trying to find an answer to the same question. I found this website but I know nothing about them. Anyone ever tried them? http://oakbarrelsltd.com/

    White house beer

Anyone watch the video to the point where they racked to secondary? It sounds and looks like he said they add water to the secondary until it fills up the neck. Aren't they just watering down their beer at that point? We need to let the President know he's drinking weak beer!
