Danby DAR044A6BSLDB Build, 2x5 Gallon Kegs

Thanks! It's an Inkbird ITC-308 temperature controller. The probe fit perfectly through the drain and only took a minute to set it up. The plan is to attach it to a keg or bottle of water to regulate the temp of the kegs. At the moment though it is controlling the fermentation temp. I even...

And here are the last of the pictures. Let me know if there are any questions from someone attempting a similar build.

Danby DAR044A6BSLDB Build, 2x5 Gallon Kegs

So I was finally able to finish up my build with this fridge and figured I'd post an update. Here are some pictures. One of the first things I did while waiting to borrow some power tools was insulate the tower. I didn't like the cheap styrofoam that came with it so I used sticky pipe...

Danby DAR044A6BSLDB Build, 2x5 Gallon Kegs

Thanks again....I should be good to go I think. I have most of everything I need and will be picking up the fridge from Costco tonight. I'll make sure to document the build with pictures and provide an update later on. :mug:

Danby DAR044A6BSLDB Build, 2x5 Gallon Kegs

Thanks for posting this I'm actually just about to begin my Kegerator build with this exact mini fridge from Costco. Good to see it worked out for you and yours looks great! Only difference is I plan to drill through the top and install a tower. Couple questions on your build... Regarding...

Troubleshooting Kegerator Problem (Won't get beer cold enough)

Thanks for the great information everyone. I'm going to continue to drink my 42° beer while debating what my next move should be. I'm going to price out getting it repaired and also price out just getting a new fridge. If I do decide to get a new one I'll probably try bypassing the internal...

Troubleshooting Kegerator Problem (Won't get beer cold enough)

I'm not sure on the age of it as it was passed down to me...but it doesn't look too old. If it is indeed low on a charge doesn't that mean that there has to be a leak somewhere and that would need to be fixed as well?

Troubleshooting Kegerator Problem (Won't get beer cold enough)

The internal thermostat is set to the max cold setting. What else should I check on it? I've heard of people making modifications to the thermostat but I wouldn't know where to start with that. I just want to make sure I'm not overlooking some easy fix before I start to consider calling a...

Troubleshooting Kegerator Problem (Won't get beer cold enough)

So I've researched this topic quite a bit as it seems to be a common problem but I'd like to see if anyone can help troubleshoot this. I was able to obtain a commercial built keggermeister fridge from a friend for free. The main problem is that I can't get the beer cold enough. I've...

New thermostat. Now compressor doesn't come on

Side note but do you happen to have a guide or instructions on how to do this? I have a beermeister as well and need to do the same thing but search results aren't coming up with much

    Magic Chef HMAR440SE

I'm wondering the same thing...I've been eyeing this fridge as it's a good price and has no freezer. Just want to make sure it can fit 2 kegs. Would also love for someone else to cut through the top first!

Belgian Dark Strong Ale Westvleteren 12 Clone - Multiple Award Winner

Alright so looking for some more advice on this one. As mentioned earlier I had a pretty significant blow off which resulted in a loss of around 1/2 gallon of beer and a significant amount of yeast. The temperature profile did take it up to 80 degrees for a few days. The next mistake I made was...

Belgian Dark Strong Ale Westvleteren 12 Clone - Multiple Award Winner

Got mine transferred to secondary over the weekend. Was wondering if you all think this is too much headspace for a prolonged secondary? Due to the excessive blow off there is about .5 gallons to 1 gallon of head space in the 5 gallon fermenter. Worried about oxidation

Belgian Dark Strong Ale Westvleteren 12 Clone - Multiple Award Winner

Yeah I should have done something like that from the start. My plan was just to keep an eye on it this weekend and make changes if necessary but I had to leave town just as it was getting going...so wasn't too surprised to see that mess when I got back. Got it cleaned up and a positive note...
