30 bottles per case, finished beers come out to $0.80 to $1.25 per bottle,,, so avg $1, thus 30 beers x 5 cases x $1 = $150, glad I could help with the math problem of the day. That's excluding the price of replacing the bottle....

Not really looking for a loophole... especially since it is not for profit... Sure.. sounds good in theory, but there are people who have committed robbery or murder, never talked about it and still got caught.... The home brewer is not the only variable in the equation... the wrong...

Giving away beer, receiving money for ingred.

Because I'm not sleeping on silk sheets and eating my cereal with a golden spoon.... If I have 5 coworkers wanting a case of beer each, that's about $120-$150 in ingredient cost that I'd rather not piss away.... Not to mention if this scenario repeats sometime in the future I'm not really...

There are plenty of other threads talking about people saying the money is for ingredients...... Thats not allowed? Other threads talk about them buying ingredients and giving it to the brewer.... Is this allowed?

Mead Ideas for a light fruity/ floral honey

Hey everyone, I haven't ever brewed mead before, but want to give it a shot. A client of mine has a hobby sized company that supplies honey in the local area. The honey I got is labeled wildflower... however it isn't the same deep rich flavor that I've experience from other wildflower honeys...

    Fairly odd sanitation question....

Thanks everyone, So I'll definitely just advise him to be watching for any "off" flavors, otherwise it sounds like it should be alright. Sure give me the impression that it was a fairly traumatic first brew experience.... glad I didn't experience anything like that! Again, thanks for the insight,

    Fairly odd sanitation question....

So basically, it would be OK medically for his friends and family to try, putting aside the creepy factor? I mean, honestly, it logically couldn't be more than a total of a drop ( mild cut with water running over it over <5 seconds) that came into contact with 5 gallons of beer..... I...

    Fairly odd sanitation question....

So.... kind of an odd/awkward question, but I didn't know the answer, so I figured one of you all more knowledgeable brewers may know.... My brother in law called me today, he did his first beer today, few kinks, few minor missteps, well I talked him off the ledge from all of those, but one...

American Wheat Beer American Wheat Beer - 2nd place Best of show - 2011 HBT BJCP competition

Relative Newb here, so sorry if this is a dumb question... Give the Wheat DME is only roughly 55%, should the order be switched and the Wheat DME be used first instead of the 2lb Extra Light DME? Or substituting more Wheat DME in place of Extra Light DME? Thanks! Just hoping to avoid an...
