What is a good homebrew mill?

Fastest grain to glass beer you have made

How are you gauging it's ready? Do you own a Zahm? I have a bitter in the primary that would be nice to drink this weekend but I don't want to bottle it too early. Gravity readings will tell though.

    Seattle wat?

Well,. the beauty of mistakes is that they can turn out to be happy ones. What happened is that I was somewhat distracted by a beautiful brewing assistant (note to self, work alone) who I was having a great time with and I shorted my ingredient list. Later that afternoon (apparently...

    Repitched too soon!

I had the opposite problem and thought over 24hrs would be a bit much for prep smacking... All is well though. I've thought about experimenting with double yeast strains. Any threads on that here?

    options for big-beer carbonation

Define normal. Racking sugar added, then bottle? I'm in the same boat with a Scotch Ale 7 days into secondary. A little extra sugar won't bother me though, I like em sweet and malty.

    Seattle wat?

Got my first batch going yesterday: Scotch Ale with extra smoke and hopefully a successful dryhopping of oak chips soaked in Scotch. Shout outs to all the local breweries and brew techs who have helped me. Looking forward to participating here more and lurking less. Do we have to be...
