I like displaying my batches, thats the main reason I use glass. My bucket is dedicated for measuring only. Be sure to keep your carboy covered to avoid direct light.
My wife helps drink my wine and beer, but the work is all mine.

I got fined once for a barbegue grill on my back deck of a condo in the suburbs of Atlanta. 600 bucks. I hated the fact that HOA could tell me what I could do in my own home.

I bottled a grand cru brunello last week. Kit had oak chips and dryed grape skins. I followed directions and racked twice to secondary. SG 1.092 FG .994 Very dark and dry wine.
Filled 27 1/2 bottles. Drank the 1/2 ..very good..don't know if I can wait for this to age properly.
Bought 5 of them along with other equipment last month. All came pressurized with a little syrup in them. Gave them a good bath with oxyclean and replaced O rings. Very pleased with them!
