    Duotight ball disconnects - experiences?

I do agree! I just measured the original length with a caliper and adjusted it half a mm as a reference. Then cut off a slice with a wallpaper knife and rubbed with 800grade sandpaper until the tip was 90degrees, flat and according to the new reference length. The pin is nylon'ish. Easy to cut.

    Duotight ball disconnects - experiences?

It is all about stroke length of the center pin. The FC -construction seems to be very tolerance-dependant, e.g. how hard the top and bottom parts are screwed together. I could have achieved the same result by: * Thicker o-ring between bottom and top parts. Not possible, as it is sqeezed...

    Duotight ball disconnects - experiences?

I was curious, and bought a few Duotight FC ball lock disconnects for testing. As others here, I found them to be really tight. It was nearly impossible to get them locked on to some posts. Looks like it depends on how far down the post poppet can be pushed, because connecting the Duotight...

    Replacement firmware for iSpindel (GravityMon)

If of any interest: I use a tp-link EAP110-Outdoor AP. High-power amplifier and good antennas. The ESP32-s2 mini has never had problems connecting through the SS fermenter inside a fridge. Typically -60dBm. The AP stands around half a meter from the fridge. And the s2's battery seems to stay on...

    Yet another DYI Plato scale

Yes, that version solved it. Thankyou! As for the BME280: Agree. Could be a challenge with the sensor on a 2m Cat6 + two displays on the same I2C. At least you need to run SDA/GND and SCL/GND on different pairs to reduce interference. I have only been running a BME280 as a single unit on 10cm...

Hi Magnus, Great work! The option for a BME280 is a good choice. A great sensor. I have one issue after the ESP32s2 v0.8.0 upgrade: The 20x4 displays are updating really slow. I can almost see character by character being displayed. Web interface is ok. V0.7.1 was also ok. No problems with a...

It's a pity characters like æäøöå does not show up correctly on the 2004 LCD's without creating Custom Characters in the code

Btw: This is the new case I have built. 2x 2004 displays. You find a description of the build here: GitHub - darkside90a/kegmon-case-2004: A KegMon case for 2x 2004 LED displays

The plan was to restore data from old to new board. Yes, I did change the ID to match the new board. As a "foolproof" test, I made a backup of the new board and tried to restore it again unchanged. Same error. Could it be related to the fresh install, with scales not yet calibrated? And I...

    Yet another DYI Plato scale

I have built a new case, flashed it with 0.7.1 and saved a backup file. I modified a copy to match settings of the old case. When restoring, I got this peculiar error message: The header of the modified backup file is definitely correct: I get the same error message when trying to restore...

I found it easiest to use brewflasher for the initial setup with whichever latest firmware version is there. Then, after kegmon is set up, use kegmon's web interface to upload/install the devbranch binary.

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

I have connected an iSpindel to BPR 0.8. I do get correct values in the top blue banner. Does anyone have any idea why I never get any iSpindel SG numbers in the table on the right side?
