    ok thanks. i've never tried a wet hopped beer before. would it be a good idea to use pellets at 60min for bittering since i'm not sure of the AA%

    transporting (moving) homebrew in bottle

    it depends how long after getting to your destination you plan on drinking the beer. i find if i try and drink it straight after driving to my mums place 2 hours away the results are never good. if i can wait and leave them in the fridge for at least a few hours then it's much better.

    i love listening to an active airlock at night. it helps me sleep. i used a 3 piece one for a while but that was far too quiet

    Do Belgian Yeasts vary much? Worth the extra cost?

    just remember to aerate really well. that's helped me get a couple of extra points of attenuation with extract beers

    Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

    I just brewed this today. It was my first AG batch. I quite a few problems, but my OG was 1041 so it must have gone OK. fingers crossed it turns out well

    What I did for beer today

    brewed my first AG batch, a Centennial Blonde. my POS burner couldnt get a decent boil going. i think I'll be upgrading soon

    i was watching one of Heston Blumenthal's tv shows the other day and he was trying to make a giant teabag. all i could think was "why doesnt he use voile?"

    What came in the mail for you today?

    it was actually yesterday, but i got a mash paddle and some centennial hops for my first AG brew this weekend
