brewed yesterday. .5oz of centennial at 60 min then a pound of fresh cascade in the last 20 mins

ok thanks. i've never tried a wet hopped beer before. would it be a good idea to use pellets at 60min for bittering since i'm not sure of the AA%

has anyone here tried making this with wet hops? any ideas how much to use?

it depends how long after getting to your destination you plan on drinking the beer. i find if i try and drink it straight after driving to my mums place 2 hours away the results are never good. if i can wait and leave them in the fridge for at least a few hours then it's much better.

what sort of yeast would get a beer to 14%?

i love listening to an active airlock at night. it helps me sleep. i used a 3 piece one for a while but that was far too quiet

how long has the beer been bottled? if less than 3 weeks then wait a while

just remember to aerate really well. that's helped me get a couple of extra points of attenuation with extract beers

not SWMBO but a friend who helped me brew yesterday asked "is that the hops?" pointing to a bucket of crushed grain

i love nelson sauvin and motueka hops. Riwaka's nice if you can get it.

I just brewed this today. It was my first AG batch. I quite a few problems, but my OG was 1041 so it must have gone OK. fingers crossed it turns out well

brewed my first AG batch, a Centennial Blonde. my POS burner couldnt get a decent boil going. i think I'll be upgrading soon

i was watching one of Heston Blumenthal's tv shows the other day and he was trying to make a giant teabag. all i could think was "why doesnt he use voile?"

it was actually yesterday, but i got a mash paddle and some centennial hops for my first AG brew this weekend
