Any tips on setting up a BeerSmith profile for a 2 vessel electric kettle rims system? (Similar to Blichmann Brew Easy)
Just finishing up a build and want to get Beer Smith somewhat dialed for my customers.
So it'll just suck a bit of gunk? What if it's 2" deep on the bottom? Won't it suck all that up first? It's in the fridge now so I'll give it a go tomorrow.
So, I used my sanke fermenter for the first time... My racking tube was lower than I thought and I was transferring under pressure. I blew a ton of hops and yeast into my corny keg.
Should I just transfer again into another keg? It plugged my dip tube so I think I'll be siphoning...

I have a two or three drink max and usually only drink on my days off. I'd I need "refreshing" I drink water. I don't need lawnmower beers. I want to think about and taste what I'm drinking. It's very intentional and I stay far, far away from intoxication.
Great article!
I just see no point in supporting giant corporations with questionable ethics when there are so many great local brewers in my back yard. I have friends that have put their well being on the line to create great beer. I will support them as much as I can. Part of that support is to not put...
I was in the same boat. My solution was small batch BIAB. Brew days are about 3.5 hours from the time I dig out my gear until I turn the lights out with the yeast pitched and everything clean. Heating less water (3 gallon batches) was way faster. BIAB is no sparge and only one vessel to...
You better plan to serve awesome beer or you're not gonna last in this market. Consumers have taste buds now. If your beer is bad, your business WILL fail. That kind of crap only works for ABInBev...
You'll be happier if you take it apart, save some of the beams for accent pieces in a new, modern shop. Chances that building is really solid is pretty slim. If you're looking for a long term investment, you'll be happier making something built to current standards. If you came on here and...
What do you ferment in @Tomabrew? By the looks of those toys I was hoping to see some glycol jacketed Conicals... You must have done a lot of brewing to nail down a solid enough recipe to be happy with only brewing 4 times a year? There's got to be more story behind that brewhouse. You don't...
Did you ever fix that floor? My vote is for tile... It's easy to clean and strong as hell. Gotta throw a welding blanket down so you don't burn through it but it's damn near bulletproof otherwise!
I know I'm bringing up an old thread but I just read it start to finish. Amazing!
