We have a bunch of frozen fresh berries left over from the summer and gonna brew this up - I know not the ideal season but what the hell that's what makes home brewing fun, we can do whatever we want. Anyone have pics of finished product?? Any thoughts?
Has anyone considered adding to the grain bill? The beer seems a bit light - I get that's th point but I think I may be interested in a bigger ginger beer. Not sure, looking for feedback. Thx.
I read through the posts and didn't see the answeres to a couple of questions: 1) I'm assuming g crackers go in mash?, when do I add brown sugar amid chocolate?
Yeah that's where I pretty much landed. I like to smoke foods so was thinking of maybe trying to make a smokey beer with the use of my smoker. Pumpkin is prob not the way. Leave this one as is, it's awesome.
I know u said, u may not want to brew an ipa but this green flash clone is awesome. It's become my house brew - I always have on tap. It's all about simcoe.

I brewed this beer and it was awesome. I through in Libby's with about 15min to go in boil after baking and adding some pumpkin spice. Keg gone in under a week, amazing beer. This time, To mix up a bit thinking of smoking a few pumpkins in my smoker and then adding to the mash. Is this just...
Hog haus pretty much sux. Beer underwhelming and peeps that work there are clueless. As mentioned earlier, I've been enjoying the brews at west mountain on the square. They had a good double IPA that I tried this weekend.
Well, just finished brewing this. Hit an OG of 1.088, pretty damn happy. Mash at 155. Decided to put some pumpkin in the boil too. 90oz of Libby's, baked in oven first for 90min @ 350 w a teaspoon of pumpkin spice mixed in to camarlize pumpkin. Dumped in with 15 min left in boil with 1lb of...
The OP mentioned he added pumpkin spice for bottling, for kegging, can I also just add the pumpkin spice to the keg? I'm concerned the pumpkin spice may not work well in the keg.
I made one batch with 4 oranges, for me not enough orange flavor. So maybe I went a little over the top for some but just brewed a 5 gallon batch with 10 bloods - pulp and zest. I love it. The girls I had over couldn't get enough. It's a refreshing, delicious summer beer. If you want more than...
