If they are using UPS, I might be ordering from them more. Fed-ex Home is horrible here.

All grain with partial boil possible?

You'll want all the wort boiled. It can be In one pot all at once. You could boil some, add in wort after some boil-off then start you hop schedule. Use multiple pots and combine. The only way to have enough sugar to do a partial boil is to mash as much as you can and add extract make up the...

whats important to you in a homebrew store?

A supermarket, that's what I want. No outdated tiny hole-in-the-wall shop that has old ingredients, when they are in stock at all. Northern brewer, Midwest and Austin Homebrew Supply's retail locations are like this. Oh, and a place to actually park my truck that isn't a city meter. A place...

    Camlock Cotter Pins?

I'm too lazy to remove them and never had a problem with the 1/2" brewing ones coming undone. I could see water hammer from a fast closing valve with some hardpipe popping them off in other applications, but silicone hose gives and a march pump just doesn't put out the pressure. the big 2"...

    who is using AEB kegs?

I'm really thinking about picking two up. What I think I know about them: 1: the poppets are replaceable, but sacrificial 2: they have firestone 19/32 18 post threads 3: they can take universal poppets. i'm not entirely sure because the poppets listed for them are shaped different at the top...

    Glass carboy vs. plastic bucket

if you read those glass threads, glass is only dangerous if you brew drunk and do stupid things with it.

    Home Brew Store

If they have a presence in the state you live you already need to pay tax. Amazon, Williams brewing and a couple hop places charge sales tax here. Online +shipping +tax is still cheaper for me than local +gas +tax, never mind the hassle of local not having exactly what I need. Even if the new...

    Glass carboy vs. plastic bucket

I like carboys too, and a bucket is still 43-44. People say carboys are so heavy, but they forget most of the weight is the beer, not the container.
