80 Quart Stainless Kettle with Lid for $55 plus shipping

I was going to mess around with it in the next few days, and see how insignificant 5 gallons of water is in it. I might be interested in this trade though, although I was thinking I could easily sell this thing on craigslist.

80 Quart Stainless Kettle with Lid for $55 plus shipping

I just got my 25 gallon pot today. It shipped very quickly. This thing is much bigger than I thought, I am really beginning to wish I got the 17gallon pot. Also, the handles don't seem that strong. I have not toyed with it much, but I bet I could knock them off pretty easily with one swing...

80 Quart Stainless Kettle with Lid for $55 plus shipping

eh, so you think if I plan on doing 5-10 gallon batches I should have stuck with the 17 gallon pot? Damn, maybe I will just have to get another corny keg and start doing 10 gallon batches.

80 Quart Stainless Kettle with Lid for $55 plus shipping

I just gave in and ordered one of the 25 gallon ones. I am thinking of turning it into my HLT... even though my brew kettle is only 9 gallons.

    Simcoe/Citra/Centennial Pale Ale

So, I am boiling the wort right now. I had some problems with Mashing. My thermometers did not seem to be working properly. I had to reheat some wort and water to get the temperature back up to 154. Then I set a digital thermometer inside my coleman cooler and it got stuck on 153 degrees, so...

in beersmith 2 it shows 1.053, ABV 5.4, IBU 44.4, SRM 9.3 I have my Tot efficiency set at 82%. I'm really not sure where I should be setting this. My last beer I did was at 41 IBUs with 70% efficiency and the beer came out maltier with a little hint of hop flavor.

    Simcoe/Citra/Centennial Pale Ale

    Nashville

I'm not sure if our beers can compete with the ones you can get from 3 Floyd's, but yazoo brewery and jackalope brewery are two cool brew houses that have a tap room near downtown nashville. You will also probably want to check out the weird cowboy themed Downtown as well with all the honky tonks.

So, you are saying these pots are a pretty badass deal? I was hoping to possibly make an entire brewery with them. Would these be able to brew 15 gallons of fermentable wort?

    Simcoe Amarillo Citra Pale

that looks like a similar recipe to one I am formulating right now. Let me know how it ends up.

80 Quart Stainless Kettle with Lid for $55 plus shipping

I was thinking of picking up 3 kegs to turn into keggles and do an eherms. Maybe 3 of these would be a better option.
