    Session ipa and hop blasting

I've been reading about session beers. My husband really likes very hoppy beer; but so many have such a high ABV. I read about hop blasting. All the greatness of the hops, but lower alcohol. Any comments? I'd like to try something with chinook hops. Suggestions, please? Sent from my iPad using...

    Black IPA

It was an extract kit. Instructions said to boil 2.5 gallons of water. Then top it off at the end. I did. Not sure where I went wrong, if I did go wrong. However, it does smell great! The more I brew, the more I learn, it seems like there is even MORE to learn!! Thanks for your advice!! Sent...

    Black IPA

Finally had the time to move the Black IPA to the secondary. On brewing day, after all was said and done, I topped it to five gallons. The trub, is that the yuck at the bottom?, was thick. Black IPA

All the sugar really got it off to rocking start! And it quickly developed a nice dark kreusen! I know it...

patience?!? You want me to be PATIENT?!?

Is ADHD required for home brewing? It certainly seems to help me, most of the time, except the day I murdered the yeast. I had probably forgotten to take my ritalin!

How many times opening the fermenter is too much?

When I do need to open the bucket I have a bucket wrench my husband gave to me, because when I close it, I use a rubber hammer to get it on tightly!!
