    Has anyone else had any issues with #2 stopper being too small? Tried this method for the first time recently and #2 kept falling in bottle. Also, racking cane was not very tight in stopper.

    Does lager really need fresh yeast to carbonate?

    Im about to bottle first lager and im kinda confused about it carbonating. Some things I read say no need for fresh yeast others say pitch a 1/4 -1/2 pack of dry ale yeast. Just wanted to get some opinions. Also if u do add. Do u pitch directly in priming sugar? FYI has been lagering at 38 deg...

    Lager not clearing

    This is my first lager. It has been lagering at 39 degrees for over a month now and still hasnt cleared much. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

    I have a kegarator im actually using to lager right now do to space problems. I set my johnson temp control on 35 but it wont get any colder than 39-40. Is this too high to lager? Should I add some ice?
