    Induction Controller?

I have one of these and it works fine one a 240 20amp circuit. Love the manual knob. I would love to use a controller with this but haven't crossed that bridge yet. Soon hopefully. Cheers!

Scorching with Avantco IC3500 - Theories?

I do BIAB with a 10gal Spike kettle, Wilser bag, and a Adcraft 3000 watt induction plate. I also double crush my grain at my LHBS. I have never gotten any scorching like what you are seeing. I do get a little grayish residue on the bottom of the kettle where the heat ring is but it wipes off...

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

Hello, Just about to pull the trigger on this software. Your solution looks great and is exactly what I was looking for. Just ordered a couple Feather WIFI boards and the related parts required to control both my Keezer and Ferm chamber. Will work on the brewery after I get these running to...

    Show your BIAB Stand/Set up

The picture makes it look taller than it is. It's only a little over 7 ft tall, just right to let the bag hang over the kettle and drain. Heck if you were closer I'd build you one!

    Avantco IC3500 Wiring - ?OKAY?

That is basically what I did except I used a receptacle and a single gang box. Either way will work. Probably be a good idea to get one of these. http://www.gfcistore.com/20-amp-inline-gfcis.html Cheers! :mug:

    show me your pully setup

Here is my latest creation. Spent an afternoon in the shop with welder. No pivoting arm but I think it will be fine for 10gal batches. On wheels so I can park it out of the way.

    Winter Basement Brewery

Yes I have and it is working very well. I have brewed 3 batches and will be brewing the 4th this weekend. My first brew I was slightly off on my volumes, and gravity I attributed this to the less vigorous boil. I didn't change any of my process for the second and third brew and my volumes and...

    show me your pully setup

Here is the one I currently have. I got it from www.brewinabag.com It works great but it's too heavy for my 5 gal batches. It is strung with 3/8" rope and has a capacity of 250 lbs. I will be receiving my wilserbrewerbag today and his 1/4" ratchet pulley and am going to add an additional...

    Induction/Kettles

I haven't done any exbeeriments with other kettles but I can tell you that my Spike Brewing kettle works just fine on the induction plate. Cheers!

Will this cheap 3500 watt induction burner work?

I have actually. There is a 2-3 second delay between restoring power to the unit and it turning on the coil/generating heat(also an annoying beep that would have to be dealt with :)). I am assuming that it needs to confirm a pot is on the unit before it will fire the coil. This delay would...

    Winter Basement Brewery

Received my Adcraft Induction Cook-Top last week, set it up and brewed a batch of Blonde Ale on Sunday. First here is the link to the unit I purchased. Shipping was great and it shipped direct from the manufacture. If you sign up for JES's newsletter they will give you $10 off you purchase...

Will this cheap 3500 watt induction burner work?

I just purchased and used for the first time an induction cook-top for my 5-gal BIAB setup. I purchased the Adcraft ind-c208v from JES restaurant supply. http://www.jesrestaurantequipment.com/manual-control-induction-cooker-constructed-heavy-duty-stain-p-1052240.html I purchased this unit...

    Winter Basement Brewery

Sure glad I stumbled onto this post! Was researching induction cook tops and about to order the IC-3500 but was concerned about the quality and having to modify it later if I wanted to automate it. Went ahead and ordered the IND-C208V today. Hopefully this will allow me to bring my BIAB setup...
