    Defenetly pin locks, bring your co2 tank and check them for leaks but once cleaned they are probably fine!

    I brew both ways it depends on what kind of beer i want, sometimes its easier to just make a extract kit like the bsg ones and sometimes i do an allgrain for that additional "my own" flavor both are great and both require the same cleanliness routines and attention to detail!

    I use high pressure 180degree water to clean my hoses after each use; and before each use i do the same thing then i soak it in starsan, i have not replaced my hoses yet and i batch every two weeks

    How to get brewers yeast to like potato and flour

    Mr beer yeast is standard coopers dry ale least that comes in theire 3.3 pound lme containers, most yeast require a "proof" in warm water for 10 min to be used with flour or potatos so try a starter it should take it on but only time will tell

    Some times dry yeast takes a bit to start up if you don't get it going in some dme and water and "proof" it as a starter

    I too agree you hbss (home brew shop specialist) should be your best friend, curteous and thoughtful, guiding you to the next lesson and next killer home made brew. He / she should know everything about your setup and everything about how you brew (styles and what not) as if he/she was right...
