Where do you enter the information to renew and get the special deal for the 2 for one?
I received mine in the mail but when I go to the website there is no place to enter the code?
Or anyone buying one and need a second?
Thanks
Good point. I have learned quite a bit from my mistakes. I'll keep it going and see what becomes of this beer. I did use a hydrometer and not a refractometer. Thanks for all the comments guys. I'm going to the homebrew store today and see what yeast and options I have.
I've never heard of...
I mashed at 148 for 60 minutes. I'm hoping it was just an almost empty oxygen tank but I've only used it maybe 5 times so figured I would have more than enough in there.
I transfer my wort into the conical with a counter flow chiller and it comes out around 85 degrees. I let it sit in the...
I have dumped beers in the past and people said that's crazy or just plain stupid to dump good quaffable beer. A friend once told me just because you don't like the way a beer taste doesn't mean others won't. This makes sense as taste is such a subjective thing.
That is why I posted b/c...
I'm on the fence about dumping it b/c brew days are fewer and far between with an infant so I wanted to see if it was something I could save. I have temperature controlled fridge my conical sits in and when I look inside it after purging it with CO2 I can still see a head of Krausen on the...
I've been brewing a while now and thought I had everything down PAT but there is a first time for everything and I have my first stuck fermentation in 4 years.
I brew 20 gallons at a time and end up with 17 gallons in my conical fermenter. I brewed a simple recipe
40.5 lbs of 2 row
3lbs...
Interesting information. That's reassuring especially since we all have these worries if the yeast we are using after mishandled or delayed shipping might cause problems.
Keep us posted on the results .
Here is the link http://www.brewhousehardware.com/ss-co2-kit-co2-pressure-transfer-kit-for-ss-brew-tech-chronical-fermenters.html
It cost 59$ for it fully assembled. You could piece it together for cheaper but when you factor in separate shipping it is almost the same. :mug:
Black dot? Are you seeing things? I'm an RN you might want to get that checked out! haha just kidding its stuck on my iphone that I need to upgrade. That was our first amateur video.
I will be doing a better quality one with better explanation and subtitles.
We filled the keg prior to...
I had the yeast ready to pitch from the beginning. But making it out to the garage can be a chore with my wife working from 6 am -830 pm.
It was my first brew since having my first kid in December so getting back into the swing of things has taken some time. I'll keep everyone updated in the...
I posted a video that has the way I transfer my 17 gallon conical back and forth. It's a simple wooden roller cart that is the same height as the fridge. It's called conical to keg transfer video.
It works really well and whenever I need to do anything I just roll it onto the cart.

Andy,
I just posted a video on connecting co2 to the top of your conical so you don't introduce oxygen. I posted it in the kegging and bottling forum. It is an added step but is well worth it.
I thought I would post my experience about fermentation as I continue to learn as I go.
So I brewed up a 17 gallon batch in my 25 gallon kettle and transferred it after doing a whirlpool with two pumps in line for 20 minutes. I transferred through my counterflow chiller into my 17 gallon...
