Pretty much the same set up but I also supplement with a bucket heater on a different circuit. I use the induction plate to regulate the boil.

I use a grill cooking grate that covers the top of my kettle and set the bucket on that.

I use liquid line for gas lines as well.

I assume something similar to this but with 20amp switch/outlet and 12g wire.

I'm looking for instructions for a switched outlet for a Brewhardware Hot Rod 1650W heat stick. I don't need to control the level of power - just need on/off and I'd rather not facilitate that by either killing the portable GFCI I plug it in to or by pulling the cord from the outlet.

You can place a dab of keg lube on the poppet had and that should seal the leak and not affect your beer.

What are you fermenting in? When I make fruit meads is use a paint strainer bucket liner to hold the fruit.

Does anyone know where to get the sleeved grommet? Mine split and I don't need the whole blowoff kit. Quick searches of Lowes and Home Depot didn't produce any results. The black tapered grommet in this photo is what I'm looking for. I would guess the replacement doesn't need to be tapered...

You can typically get these at Walmart or Target for $3 - $4 each. Turn them upside down and you have a bottle drying rack as well.

Both Homewbrewstuff and Williams no longer sell these items. Does anyone else have a source?

As a follow up: I have installed this in my 8 gallon Tall Boy kettle. This heat stick in conjunction with a 1800w induction plate makes easy work bringing 7.5 gallons to a boil. I throttle the induction plate to 800w once I've reached a boil and it maintains a nice rolling boil.

I cut up the grid that goes over a 4x2 industrial fluorescent light fixture.

I'm planning to use this to supplement an 1800w induction plate using two separate 20amp circuits.
