Try a PVC ratcheting cutter. Works great on PVC, and I can't imagine it'd be much more difficult for PolyCarb.

I just installed my sight glass from midwest supplies to my kettle. There is a leak at the glass. When I lift up the glass, it leaks more. I don't see any crack in the glass itself. Any thoughts?
I found attachments at my LHBS that took the proper mounting post for a ball lock to a 1/2" NPT male thread. I bought a 1/2" nipple at HD, and two female couplers. I'll be installing the thing soon. Thanks for all your posts, but I wanted something ultra simple.
