I am doing an Imperial Ipa then doing a small beer with same grains tomorrow. I've never done this before and was wondering on the second batch if I need to sparge or not? I've got 25# of grain and I want 2, 5 gal batches.

I have no info on when they are going to ship out. I would be fine if I knew something.

Auger yes I got a receipt in an email. However I did not get anyone on the phone when I called four times now.

Thanks for the feedback. It just pisses me off that they won't return calls or emails! I thought it was too early but I would at least like to know when to expect them.

Has anyone bought from Northwest Hops? I placed an order on January 18 2015 and haven't heard from them since. I've emailed twice and called 3 times and nothing in return. Any input on this would be great!

How much chocolate should I add to a 5 gal. batch? Should I use cocoa powder or syrup?

Starsan is a sanitizer that a lot of people use and is supposed to be one of the best for home brewing. However it is a chemical. I wish I had a all natural sanitizer to use.

I just started using starsan when I got my kegerator so that may be a thought. I've got a few ideas to try now so thank you all!

I am pretty new at home brewing and I have never done a porter. I'm trying to read this recipe and instructions on my I phone and I need help on figuring out how much to boil and how long what temp? I also use the BIAB method.

This is kind of off subject but I had a buddy ask me if the snap top or growler type bottles and caps work well. Any experiences on those?
