    Keg won't pour

Well I ended up draining the keg and cleaning out the hop guts and re-filling. Seems to have fixed the issue, I guess I learned to use a hop bag when dry hopping :drunk: . Thanks for the help guys

    Keg won't pour

Yeah both lines are connected and the keg is definitely under pressure. I can check the liquid line, but I have re-connected it several times. When I first go to pour there is a burst of pressure but then the beer flows very slowly out of the keg and then stops before it even clears the line.

    Keg won't pour

So I recently purchased a 3 gallon ball lock keg and successfully filled and drank a coffee stout out of it. I went to fill it with my second batch, an American Pale Ale, and now the keg line will not pour . I thought that the dip tube may have been clogged with hops since I dry hopped it so I...

    Can I bottle this?

Just an update. I decided to go ahead and bottle this beer with a slightly lower than normal amount of priming sugar and some raspberry flavoring. After about two weeks the carbonation is somewhat low, but the raspberry and slight sour taste actually work pretty well together. All in all I...

    Can I still bottle this?

Thanks for the advice. As far as sanitizing goes I have a pretty strict routine with it. Must of gotten in there when I opened the lid or drew out a sample. I'm going to bottle it up tonight and hope for the best since it still tastes great right now

    Can I still bottle this?

Hey guys so I just began a brewing club at my school and we did our first three brews, an IPA, pale ale, and a chocolate milk stout. Unfortunately I saw a small white film develop after fermentation was complete on the stout so I racked underneathe to secondary. Obviously from the pictures I...

Bug* sorry. Id like to not disappoint the group members but also don't want bottle bombs. Could I underprime a bit to help prevent them? Thanks for your help!

Brewing as a career or hobby

Very good point, I'm going to look into brewery related fields and see what comes up. I still may go into a brewing program just for the fun of it because hey even if I don't end up working in a brewery ill be able to make some damn good beer. :$

    Heady in Pittsburgh!

Had one there and it was pretty amazing although it was my first experience having it so I can't really compare to other heady but definitely had the strong hop aroma and flavor still.

    Heady in Pittsburgh!

Hey guys just wanted to let anyone in the Pittsburgh area looking for heady topper I picked a couple cans up at house of a 1000 beers in New Kensington. I don't know if they usually have it or not because it was my first time there. Either way I was pretty pumped to grab a couple. Cheers

Brewing as a career or hobby

Thanks for the advice everyone. I still have a little over a year left of school with my internship so I definitely still have time to think. I feel like the best option will be trying to get a ChemE job related to the brewing industry and save up some money. Who knows maybe someday I will...
