Yeah, I was just stating that to eliminate it being an issue on the tilt side. Both devices were about 4" away from the side of the fermenter. I usually have it resting in a small plastic case on top of my glycol chiller next to the fermenter.
To give some more details, It was logging...
Hi, I have a question. I have been successfully running the tiltbridge for a few months and it has been working great. However, recently I have had issues with it not finding the tilt even though my phone can from the same location. It was working this morning, then suddenly stopped and it...
The main thing I was interested in was the step mashing and boil temperature programmability. It would be nice to just set my brewday up once before I start, rather than messing with the temperature settings so much. Even if it's a simple single infusion mash, it would be nice to set strike...
Reviving this thread for a quick question, I currently have a Wort-Hog controller with the 120 model. If I purchase the 320 model to upgrade, would I be able to just plug and play the wires on the new model. I'm confident I can wire it, just want to make sure it uses the same wires, connections...
Maybe it was just an off batch for whatever reason. I have those from time to time.
They say that Kveiks like a lot of yeast nutrient so i added a little extra for this batch, maybe that would help? FWIW, i prefer this strain much more than the Hornidal Kveik i have used in a few other...
Just did a batch using WLP518. OG:1.052 FG: 1.010 in 3 days. Pitched at 85F and airlock activity started in 3 hours . Today is day 7. I just kegged it and i tasted the sample, it was fantastic.
Thanks for the tips! I think i'm going to get a few 1g fermenters and split a 5gal batch to experiment with it. Tha way i can see what it can handle and how the hops effect the LAB production and see what esters i can get from it.
Cheers!
I made a very basic Saison with it last month. It is delicious. Very dry and slightly peppery, with just a hint of that bubblegum sweetness. OG: 1.050 to FG: 1.001. This is my favorite Saison strain that I have used so far. The last one i tried was B56 Rustic which i hated, way too much bubblegum.
Just wanted to get some ideas to test a wild yeast I captured recently off of a wild berry. I have been growing it up for about a month now and have finally worked it up to a 1.5 L starter. I used no hops in the starter. The finished starter was clean with subtle citrus rind and underripe berry...
Yeah I just did a batch like that. However 5-7 days might be too long depending how sweet you want it. I did mine for 3 days and it was about 1.030 FG which is where I like it. I let it totally ferment out last year and I did not enjoy it at all. YMMV. Good luck!
That would be awesome and I love the idea. However, unfortunately, I'm one of the millions of Americans that don't have access to the internet at my home. I use a wireless 4g mifi as my home internet and it sucks. It never stays connected and throttles after 20gb/mo. I'm right on a main road and...
Thank you. I appreciate your help. I will keep safety in mind, I was not intending on running when asleep or away from home. More of a "if I get stuck doing a chore or something for longer than expected, my strike water will be ready" type of thing.
Thanks again!
